Timothy Morck, PhD is Founder & President of Spectrum Nutrition, LLC, a consulting firm that that draws on 40 years of expertise in nutrition-related basic/clinical research, product development, regulatory & public policy and global scientific affairs. His passion is to see all people benefit from personalized support that reinforces motivation, helps them learn and implement positive lifestyle modifications, so they can embrace a lifelong pursuit of wellness with good nutrition at its core.

Most recently, Tim was Vice President of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs at Nestlé USA Corporate Affairs, where he provided regulatory coordination across 8 Nestlé US operating companies for prepared foods, beverages, baby food/infant formula, pet food, bottled water, skin care, and healthcare nutrition products. This promoted unified messaging around Nutrition, Health & Wellness and Sustainability to the scientific and regulatory community in the US, and insured alignment between the US businesses and Nestlé Headquarters in Vevey, Switzerland. 

Previously Tim served as Vice President of Personalized Nutrition for DSM, where he created a totally new, innovative business model for DSM Innovation (based in The Netherlands) as part of their Emerging Business Area initiative, that offered companies a personal nutrition-oriented employee wellness program. Earlier in his career, Tim was Vice President of R&D at MenuDirect Corporation, where he oversaw all product development and legal/regulatory aspects of specialty nutrition products, designed for dysphagia, celiac disease, PKU, diabetes, and weight management; Director International R&D for Abbott Nutrition; Director of Nutrition, Regulatory and Consumer Affairs at The Dannon Company (now Danone); and Principal Nutrition Scientist at Mead Johnson Nutritionals.

Tim’s career includes hospital based clinical nutrition practice, research as Chief of the Nutritional Physiology Section at the VA Medical Center in Hampton, VA, and he had faculty appointments at the U Kansas Medical Center and Eastern Virginia Medical School. He also served as Director of Nutrition for the International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI), where he provided staff support for membership committees on various nutrition issues and also directed the secretariat office for international nutrition programs, funded by USAID, to coordinate worldwide efforts to reduce vitamin A deficiency and iron-deficiency anemia.

Tim received his BS in Animal Science from Penn State University, followed by MS and PhD degrees in nutrition from Cornell University.
